Chair: Ottman DeLeon
Purpose: Oversees the development and implementation of the fundraising plan; identifies and solicits funds from external sources of support
Specific Tasks/Duties:
· Lead the board’s participation in fundraising
· Report the status of the organization’s fundraising activities and the fundraising climate in general to the board
· Familiarize board of directors with techniques and skills necessary for effective fundraising
· Identify local, state and federal government grants and resources
· Monitor fundraising efforts to be sure that ethical practices are in place, that donors are acknowledged appropriately, and that fundraising efforts are cost-effective
Meeting Schedule:
The Capital Development Committee must meet at least 4 times annually, with a minimum of _____members. (Or meets every----of each month)
Reports:
The Capital Development Committee Chair is expected to deliver a verbal and written status report at Board and General Assembly meetings
Qualifications:
The Capital Development Committee Chair must be a Board member
