Chair:              Oscar Segura

Purpose:            The finance committee works to ensure the AHCC is in good financial health and that its assets are protected and its resources are used appropriately.  A key task is to ensure that the entire board understands the organization’s financial condition. 

Specific Tasks/Duties:

·        Maintain financial records

·        Reconcile discrepancies

·        Prepare annual budget with help from other officers

·        Prepare monthly financial statements

·        Monitor cash flow

·        Prepare and file IRS and other government forms.

·        Report to the board any financial irregularities, concerns, opportunities

·        Recommend financial guidelines to the board (such as to establish a reserve fund or to obtain a line of credit for a specified amount)

·        Oversee short and long-term investments

·        Recommend selection of the auditor and work with the auditor

Meeting Schedule:

The Finance Committee must meet at least 4 times annually, with a minimum of _____members. (Or meets every----of each month) 

Reports:

The Finance Committee Chair is expected to deliver a verbal and written status report at Board and General Assembly meetings

Qualifications:

The Finance Committee Chair must be a Board member
